Darren and Josh sift through the brimming mail bag to answer questions about everything from music rights to Saw spoilers to how the hell Jessica Biel caught Darren in his underwear. Plus, the guys decide on not ONE but TWO movie ideas that they want to make and discuss how they plan to move forward on BOTH.

Now that Darren and Josh have decided to package the “Killer Con” idea and spec out “The Privilege”… the team moves from idea “inception” to story creation. And who better to talk through how the Horror Convention/Comicon circuit really works than Danielle Harris, who has been in the horror game since age 10! The guys pick her brain in order to find story beats for their new film. AND they decide that Danielle must be in the film as well!

The Maestro… The Conductor… the wonderfully talented thespian Tobin Bell joins Darren and Josh to talk about his incredible career, how the role of John Kramer changed his life, and some of his secrets about how to create memorable characters. AND Tobin weighs in on Darren and Josh’s two film ideas.

Darren and Josh take the show on the road to Los Angeles’ new industry convention HorrorCon! They take the stage with several of the key BTS creatives of the Saw franchise to do a deep dive into all things Saw. Panelists include Kevin Gruetert, Peter Spierig, Patrick Melton, Nick Matthews and session is moderated by Joe Russo.

Producer Addison Marshall joins Darren & Josh as they brainstorm the two final ideas… The Privilege and Killer Con (we’re looking for a new name if anyone has any good titles). We attempt to narrow down the ideas to set up a few future writer’s rooms / writer’s group episodes. We also asked all our crew/team/family members to send in “intro videos” and they’re so awesome they upstage the actual episode.

While Josh spends time on story, Darren travels to Orlando Florida for the Spooky Empire Convention to sign autographs (and more importantly) research the Killer Con movie. He sees some friends and hears some stories before returning to Los Angeles and grabbing drinks and pizza with Josh and Hana Mae Lee at Residuals Tavern. And Steve Barton returns for another “Page One Rewrite” segment!

As they prepare to take their new ideas to the town, Darren and Josh talk about different types of video pitching… from sizzle reels to spec trailers to documentary pitches to full-on immersive video project pitches. This is an episode not to be missed on YouTube as they are showing all the assets they’ve used to sell their projects to Hollywood.

Josh takes a break in Florida with his family for Thanksgiving… Darren is annoyed (but then again… when ISN’T he?!?). So this week, we jump into the way-back machine and visit HorrorCon and the Sorority Row panel with a few special guests: director Stewart Hendler, producer Mike Karz, the writer/director of the original House on Sorority Row Mark Rosman, star of the House on Sorority Row Eileen Davidson and co-screenwriter Josh Stolberg.
